ABOUT ME

My name is Isaac Rujumba and I’m a self-taught photographer and filmmaker currently based in Bournemouth.

For me, it all started with the desire to write my life story and pick up an ‘instrument’ that would put me in a position to have to be out engaging with the world in every moment. I like to view photography and film as a form of art. I spent many hours of my childhood drawing so gaining a passion for this was a natural breakthrough. It was more fun and challenging for me to become an editor of reality through the lens – subtracting any distracting elements from the real-life chaos to create something that has meaning.

I have grown as a creator and learnt the importance of going the extra mile through practicing with different environments, styles and techniques. As a result, this has allowed me to progress into various fields like commercial, event, family and product.

I would describe myself as a sociable and reliable person. I’m aware that not everyone is confident in front of a camera therefore my aim is to create a fun and relaxed experience where you can still be yourself.

So if you’re looking for someone that is naturally committed to quality and positive outcomes then you’ve come to the right place.

"Just like a painting, a photograph will reveal how you feel. Regardless of the occasion, we find meaning in photos because they offer a sense of belonging, growth, significance or love."

I have always wanted to visit Japan. I'm such a cultural fanatic hence the burning desire. Also, who wouldn't want to experience the most eclectic city in the world, Tokyo?

My dream is to open up a studio where I can create and showcase all of my life's work.

I have a fear of heights and I'm yet to overcome this by jumping out of an aeroplane. All proof will be shared the day I book my skydiving session.

I'm a fitness addict. "A healthy body leads to a healthy mind" - I live by those words.

  • How do we book you?
You have the option to either call or email me to check my availability. Alternatively, you can fill out my form and submit it which I’ll check and respond back to you. If I’m available on the date, we can have a chat on the phone or via Facetime/Skype or simply meet up for a face to face. All the contracts and additional information will be forwarded on once both parties are happy with the dates and ready to book.
  • How does the payment process work?
To secure your booking, a 50% retainer fee is required, and the remaining balance is settled on completion of the job.
  • Can we have RAW files?
Unfortunately not. Under no circumstances will the RAW files be given to the client. This is to protect the company's intellectual property.
  • How do you deliver the final images?
All high-resolution images will be uploaded onto a secured online gallery and delivered digitally. You will also have the option to share the gallery with friends and family as well as directly order prints and other products on the platform.
  • What is your turnaround time for edits?
This will depend on the size of the job. Typically, I advise 2-4 weeks for the final images to be delivered.  The images will be sent to you on a private online gallery once they are fully edited for you to look through at the comfort of your own home.
  • Are you insured and do you have any back up options and equipment?
Yes, I'm fully insured. I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance.   I use high-end professional digital cameras and have spare equipment should anything happen on the day.   Additionally, I‘m a big advocate for health and fitness and do my best to maintain this for a good mental health and safety. If anything was to happen prior to the shoot day, we’ll reschedule or postpone the shoot and agree on a date and time which is suitable.
